Joe Burrow came off the field on Sunday after he helped the Cincinnati Bengals to a 34-11 win over the Detroit Lions, and shared his thoughts on the news that LSU and coach Ed Orgeron have parted ways, effective at the end of the season.

Burrow and Orgeron will forever be linked because of the magical national championship season, and their careers will reflect it.

“It’s disappointing,” Burrow told reporters. “Because he’s really a man that gave me an opportunity when nobody else really was. I wouldn’t be here without Coach O. I’m forever indebted to him as a person and a player. Our relationship will continue for the rest of our lives. I love the man, I love the coach. They didn’t win as many games as I know they would like, but we did just win a national championship 2 years ago. That’s disappointing. I love Coach O and everyone over there. I hope he’s able to find a place where he feels he’s welcome.”
