LSU QB Joe Burrow is having a Heisman-worthy season so far, and LSU’s offense is the No. 1 scoring offense in the country through six games.

Things are firing on all cylinders, but Burrow thinks it hasn’t quite been perfect yet.

When asked this week about what a perfect offensive effort would look like from the Tigers, he said the offense against Florida last weekend was pretty close (via 247Sports):

“I mean, Saturday was almost it,” he said. “Apart from, we didn’t convert on three third downs. We only ran 48 plays, our time of possession wasn’t great, but they did a really good job on offense, converting on third downs to keeping their drives alive so we were on the sideline for a lot of the game. But I mean, we barely had any missed assignments, almost 100 percent on completions, 225 yards rushing. That’s about as close as we’re going to get.”

LSU has a tough three-game stretch coming up, going to Mississippi State before hosting Auburn. Then the Tigers have an off week before going to Alabama.

Can the Tigers keep putting up a ton of points? This next stretch of games will provide the answer.
