On the same day LSU lost a commitment from a four-star linebacker the Tigers turned around and landed another one as Josh White has publicly announced his pledge to join Ed Orgeron’s program on Friday.

The Houston native made his commitment by posted a video on Twitter, which can be seen below.

Rated as a four-star recruit by 247Sports Composite Rankings, White is listed as the No. 20 outside linebacker and the No. 269 overall recruit in the nation for the 2020 recruiting cycle. White has picked LSU over scholarship offers from Oklahoma State, South Carolina, Miami, Missouri, Texas and TCU, among others.

White’s pledge bumps LSU back up to 11 commitments for the 2020 recruiting cycle and gives the Tigers 10 pledges that currently rank as four-star prospects or better. LSU’s recruiting class currently ranks third nationally, behind only Alabama and Clemson.

Ed Orgeron has confirmed White’s commitment by posting his trademarked “Hold That Tiger!” message on Twitter.
