Kayshon Boutte has been the subject of rumors about him leaving LSU, especially after the coaching change, and Brian Kelly taking over the program. But the former 5-star wide receiver put any rumors to rest with an announcement on Wednesday.

“ignore the rumors … i’m locked in,” he tweeted.

Boutte was LSU’s leading receiver in 2021, with 38 catches for 508 yards and 9 touchdowns. In 2020, Boutte, was a Freshman All-American and set the SEC record for receiving yards in a game in the season-finale against Ole Miss with 308 yards and 3 touchdowns on 14 receptions.

Boutte’s season ended in mid-October after he suffered a leg injury.

Coming out of high school, Boutte was a 5-star prospect and the No. 2 wide receiver prospect according to the 247Sports Composite. He was ranked by 247Sports as the No. 20 overall prospect in America.
