ESPN analyst Kirk Herbstreit weekly ranks top players, coaches and teams based on their performance that week. He hardly ever has the same team reflected across the board. But LSU is at the top this time, with multiple players and coaches included.

In the 46-41 win over Alabama, QB Joe Burrow passes for 393 yards and three touchdowns, while RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire ran for three touchdowns and caught a touchdown pass. Burrow also rushed for 64 yards to finish with 457 yards of total offense, the third-highest total in school history.

LSU now has eight wins over top 10 teams in the last two years — the most for any QB in LSU history — but this one clearly stands above the rest. The teammates shared the SEC Offensive Player of the Week honor.

The 46 points were the most by an LSU team in the 84-game series with Alabama.

Coach Ed Orgeron has gotten a lot of credit in recent days and weeks for hiring passing game coordinator Joe Brady from the New Orleans Saints as something that put the Tigers over the top to end the eight-game losing streak to Alabama.
