Kirk Herbstreit pays big compliment to Justin Jefferson following NFL Combine performance
Justin Jefferson had a huge season for LSU, rewriting the SEC record books along with teammate Ja’Marr Chase.
But, while Chase is heading back to LSU, Jefferson is off to the 2020 NFL Draft. And, after his performance at the NFL Combine over the weekend, his draft stock is on the rise.
As you can see below, he caught the eye of ESPN analyst Kirk Herbstreit. Herbie said it would be tough for him to pass on Jefferson if he was an NFL GM:
Deep and talented group of WR’s in this years draft…teams need to be VERY careful with this guy. Be tough for me to pass on him if I needed a playmaker. Kid has IT. Straw that mixes the drink kind of guy. Plays with an energy and confidence that can impact the entire offense! https://t.co/MW7WflNTNS

Jefferson saw the tweet and said he appreciates the love from Herbstreit:

In NFL.com analyst Daniel Jeremiah’s latest mock draft, he has Jefferson going No. 21 overall to the Philadelphia Eagles.
