Derrius Guice’s father was murdered when the former LSU star was only 6 years old, and ever since then, he’s been determined to be the best running back in the country.

On Thursday night, he may hear his name called in the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft, and it’s safe to say that would be a very emotional moment for Guice.

Recently, Hyundai signed Guice as a sponsor, and on Thursday, he showed off a couple of gifts the company gave him — a car and cleats honoring his late father:

Guice is widely considered to be the second-best back in the 2018 class, behind only Saquon Barkley of Penn State.

He could go in the top half of the first round, or he could fall into the early part of the second round. One thing is for sure, though — whoever drafts him will be getting a highly motivated player.
