Bacon, at least in design form, was on the menu this week for Mike VII, LSU’s mascot, as the Tigers prepare to play the Arkansas Razorbacks.
In the weekly tradition, the Arkansas logo mirrored the cursive penmanship of the pre-game meal from earlier this season when Ole Miss was on the schedule.
It’s unclear what will be on Mike’s breakfast menu as the 11 a.m. local time kickoff for the game has been a much-discussed topic this week.
For LSU, first-year coach Ed Orgeron’s first full season has seen ups and downs, beginning with a 37-7 loss at Mississippi State and upset loss to Troy. But the Tigers have rallied since, and have developed some momentum in the last month.
At Arkansas, coach Bret Bielema has yet to name a starter at quarterback as both Austin Allen and Cole Kelley are available. He said earlier in the week he would let a full week of practice play out before he decides.
Here’s a view inside Mike’s cage from his Twitter account.
