Tre’Davious White made a vow to his mother and this week he honored that promise by buying her a new home.

The second-year pro from LSU is coming off a solid NFL debut in which he registered 69 tackles, four interceptions and one forced fumble from his cornerback position after being selected as the No. 27 overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft. That effort proved he’s just the latest in a long line of defensive backs to have success at the game’s highest level from DBU.

White shared the news of his kept promise to his mother with this recent Twitter post:

White is now a leading candidate for son of the year following that effort.
