Louisiana governor calls in to Ed Orgeron's radio show to praise LSU
LSU coach Ed Orgeron has a weekly call-in radio show, and this week, following a big win over Alabama, there was a special caller.
When “John B. from Amite” called in, it was quickly revealed that it was Louisiana governor John Bel Edwards.
The governor mentioned how proud he was of LSU and how much the win over Bama meant to the state of Louisiana:
On Ed Orgeron's LSU call-in show, a "John B from Amite" was introduced … it was Governor John Bel Edwards.
Said he wanted to relay "how proud I am" of LSU.
"I appreciate the fact that you talked about how it was a great win for the state of Louisiana. And certainly it was."

Bel Edwards continued, warning Coach O and the Tigers not to overlook Ole Miss this weekend, citing Kentucky basketball’s loss to unranked Evansville:
"People are excited about the LSU Tigers and I just wanted to relay how much we appreciate you."
Orgeron thanks JBE and others for greeting the team at the airport as they returned from Alabama win.

Now that LSU has the No. 1 spot, you can bet Coach O will do everything in his power to keep his players focused and hungry. We’ll find out on Saturday if the Tigers can keep the good times rolling.
