LSU announces addition of transfer specialist from East Carolina
LSU is completely overhauling its roster ahead of the 2022 season, and that goes down to the specialists, too.
On Thursday, the school announced it was bringing in a long snapper from East Carolina.
As you can see below, the Tigers revealed via Twitter that Slade Roy was heading to Baton Rouge for the 2022 season:

Coach Brian Kelly welcomed Roy to Baton Rouge with this tweet:
Every detail matters. Welcome to Long Snapper University, @sladeroy_. Let’s get to work. #GeauxTigers https://t.co/RfgtKqHXpH

Roy was a freshman in 2021 for the Pirate, and handled all the long-snapping duties in the team’s 12 games.
We’ll see if he lands the starting job at LSU this fall, but he already has plenty of experience and could be a long-snapping fixture for the Tigers for the next few years.
