Former LSU LB Antoine Sampah is in the transfer portal, the program announced Monday. Sampah departs after 2 seasons with the program.

Sampah has been off the LSU roster since late July. Entering the transfer portal allows him to be contacted and recruited by other programs. Tigers coach Brian Kelly says Sampah is now medically cleared to play and wished the linebacker well in his return to the football field.

Sampah’s LSU bio shows participation in 2 games last season (McNeese and Central Michigan). LSU’s released statement, however, states Sampah missed the entire 2021 season with an injury. In 2020, Sampah made 4 appearances.

Out of Woodbridge (Virginia), Sampah was rated 4-stars, the No. 6 inside linebacker and No. 97 prospect overall in the class of 2020 on the 247Sports composite rankings. Sampah signed with LSU over scholarship offers from 25 other schools, including Alabama and Clemson.
