Donte Starks was a 4-star linebacker coming out of high school in Louisiana. He signed with LSU, but didn’t play much as a freshman, appearing in only 3 games to preserve his redshirt.
Now, it appears he won’t be on the field anytime soon, as the Tigers announced on Saturday morning that he had been suspended indefinitely for a violation of team rules.
Starks dealt with some academic issues that kept him out of preseason camp last year, but it is unknown if another academic issue led to this suspension or not.
Starks tweeted the below message on Friday morning, saying he’s taking responsibility for the mistakes he’s made:

How long will he be out this time? We’ll see if coach Ed Orgeron discusses the matter anytime soon.
