For now, all is well with the LSU vs. BYU game on Sept. 2.

The game “remains scheduled” as officials from LSU and the AdvoCare Texas Kickoff monitor Hurricane Harvey, according to a report from Ross Dellenger of The Advocate.

Next Saturday’s game is scheduled to take place at NRG Stadium in Houston.

“LSU administrators will be in ‘regular contact’ with Houston officials regarding the impacts of the storm, the school said in a statement. Kickoff officials, contacted Friday by The Advocate, are not yet ready to reveal potential scenario if the storm does affect the game,” the report stated.

While kickoff is over a week away and the actual weather shouldn’t affect the game, post-hurricane damage could. The hurricane is expected to increase to a Category 3 storm as of Friday afternoon.

The Texas coast is preparing to evacuate, as it braces for ‘catastrophic flooding.’
