Alabama has a chance to end the 2020 season with a perfect 13-0 record if it defeats Ohio State in Monday night’s College Football Playoff National Championship Game. If that happens, SEC Network analyst Jordan Rodgers believes it would be the greatest season in the sport’s long history.
LSU fans had something to say about that.
During an appearance on “SEC Nation” on SEC Network on Monday, Rodgers shared his thoughts on where this Crimson Tide team would stand among the sport’s all-time best teams.
“If Alabama wins out, this will not be the greatest Alabama team ever, this will be the greatest college football season ever,” Rodgers said on the show.
For those who may have forgotten, LSU went 15-0 and won the national championship last season, rolling to victories over Oklahoma in the Peach Bowl and Clemson in the CFP National Championship Game. Tigers quarterback Joe Burrow won the Heisman Trophy while leading one of the most dominant teams in recent memory.
Here’s some of the reaction from Twitter to Rodgers’ comments:
@JRodgers11 so you just forgot about last year? https://t.co/NSJBjGOflH
