The transfer portal opened up roughly 41 hours ago. Since then, it has been madness, taking victims by the minute. As the rules on transferring become more relaxed and the NIL era is in its cage stages, more players begin to search for better opportunities.

The latest victim is LSU, which sees redshirt sophomore defensive back Damarius McGhee put his name into the portal, per On3’s Matt Zenitz.

McGhee was part of the Tigers’ 2021 class and still has 3 years of eligibility left. He was a 4-star coming out of high school, the No. 192 prospect and No. 13 cornerback according to 247Sports’ composite rankings.

As a true freshman last year, McGhee appeared in 12 games and recorded 5 tackles. However, he appeared in just one game this year and did not record a stat.

The thin Tiger cornerback room gets even thinner, but luckily they are far from the only team taking hits by the portal. Everyone is getting hit and the madness will only continue.
