Ed Orgeron and the LSU Tigers are hot on the recruiting trail while in the midst of an 11-0 season with national championship hopes.

A day after beating Arkansas 56-20, Orgeron’s program picked up a commitment from a defensive prospect for the more long-distance future on Sunday, as 2022 cornerback prospect Khamauri Rogers verbally committed to the Tigers on his Twitter page.

Rogers is only a sophomore in high school, and standing at 6 foot and 160 pounds, has a long way to go in terms of his size and development. Rogers has caught the eye of college football scouts across the country, as the four-star Lexington, Mississippi product rates as the top cornerback in the 2022 class.

This news is right off the heels of back-to-back defensive decommitments for LSU in the past week, so it will be welcome news for Ed Orgeron’s team as they prepare to host Texas A&M and look to cap off the regular season at 12-0.
