LSU mascot Mike VI succumbs to cancer
After a lengthy battle with cancer, LSU mascot Mike VI died on Tuesday afternoon.
Mike VI was transferred to hospice care on Monday, but passed away on Tuesday, according to The Dailey Reveille:
Mike VI passed away today, according to a press release. He was transferred to hospice y'day after his condition worsened. #LSU

Mike had a series of facial tumors that had spread throughout other parts of his body, according to a recent scan.
Mike VI had served as the Tigers’ mascot and lived in his on-campus habitat since 2007.
