The show must go on.

That’s apparently the thought process in Baton Rouge and at the SEC league office despite the fact LSU has suspended head coach Will Wade indefinitely following an explosive report claiming that the FBI has wiretap recordings of Wade discussing an “offer” made to a recruit with a former agent that has since been convicted following the FBI’s investigation into college basketball.

While LSU may not have its head coach in place, the program intends to compete in the upcoming SEC Tournament as well as the NCAA Tournament, according to The Advocate, who spoke to LSU senior associate athletic director Robert Munson regarding the school’s postseason status moving forward following Wade’s suspension.

The Advocate also reached out to the league office, which has decided that Wade’s status and the allegations against the LSU program will not prohibit the team from competing in the tournament next week in Nashville.

The Tigers are currently tied atop the SEC standings with Tennessee after beginning the season 15-2 in league play.
