Hurley completed his true freshman season. He did not record any statistics as LSU was led by veteran QB Garrett Nussmeier in 2024, with Rickie Collins and AJ Swann also seeing limited playing time.
Out of Jacksonville (Florida) Trinity Christian Academy, Hurley was a blue-chip prospect. He was rated 4-stars, the No. 25 quarterback, No. 49 player in the state of Florida and No. 357 prospect overall in the Class of 2024 on the 247Sports Composite.
Hurley picked up scholarship offers from 25 programs, including Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Miami, Mizzou, Ohio State, Ole Miss, Penn State and Texas A&M. He verbally committed to Brian Kelly’s program on Nov. 4, 2022 and followed up on that pledge by signing with the Tigers on Dec. 8, 2023.
