The 2021 season didn’t begin the way that LSU had hoped. But now, it gets to return home and take the field at Tiger Stadium on Saturday in front of its fans. And there’s a strong chance the Tigers will leave with their first win of the year.

On Saturday, LSU is set to host McNeese State in its first of back-to-back home games. The Tigers should be playing in an electric atmosphere, considering they didn’t have full crowds at games during the 2020 season due to COVID-19 restrictions.

In order to get fans even more hyped for the home opener, LSU released a thrilling hype video on Twitter on Thursday, with narration provided by ESPN’s Marty Smith:

This is only the second time that LSU and McNeese State are facing off. In the previous meeting, the Tigers earned a 32-10 win in Baton Rouge on Oct. 16, 2010.

Since going 15-0 and winning the national championship in 2019, LSU has had some struggles. It went 5-5 last season, then lost its 2021 opener at UCLA last Saturday. But the Tigers could get back on track the next few weeks and still contend in the SEC this season.

LSU and McNeese State are set to kick off on Saturday at 8 p.m. ET on ESPN+.
