LSU senior defender announces he is opting-out the rest of the 2020 season
LSU defender Travez Moore will opt out of the remainder of the 2020 season, he announced on his Twitter account on Thursday.
The Bastrop, La. native played at the JUCO level out of high school and was ranked the top junior college weakside defensive end by 247Sports. He joined the Tigers before the 2018 season but redshirted after only playing in 3 games. In 2019, he played sparingly, first against FCS Northwestern State and then against Vanderbilt. This season, he registered 3 tackles across a pair of games against Vanderbilt and Missouri.
I want to thank the university of LSU for all that it has done for me and i am thankful for my teammates and the relationship i built here at the university … i will be opting out the 2020 season

Moore graduated from LSU in August, but prior to that detailed his COVID-19 fight on Twitter, sharing that the virus had caused him to lose 27 pounds. However, he remained with the program, but will now forego the rest of the season with his degree work having been completed.
LSU visits Auburn on Saturday. Kickoff is at 3:30 pm ET on CBS.
