LSU star pass rusher Arden Key has been away from the team this spring while taking a leave of absence, but it seems that good news is on the way for LSU and Key.

Ed Orgeron has maintained that Key should return and has been making progress to rejoin the team.

According to reports, Key was spotted at LSU’s facility Thursday, although he’s still not officially back with the team, and Thursday night he tweeted “255 & ready!”

Interestingly, Key was listed at 238 pounds on LSU’s roster, and his 255 pounds post would indicate that he added 17 pounds this spring. Key set LSU’s single-season sack record (12) in 2016, and it would be interesting to see what an added 17 would do for his 6-foot-6 frame. At 238 pounds, Key was quick as a cat and a handful for any elite offensive lineman to block.

Key is largely projected as a top prospect in the 2018 NFL Draft, and he should be the SEC’s most dynamic pass rusher in 2017, assuming he does return to the team.
