LSU interim coach Ed Orgeron continues to make player-friendly changes to the practice schedule.

Now on a three-game winning streak after their 38-21 win over Ole Miss on Saturday night, the team is set to participate in a “Tiger Bowl” this Thursday, which looks to be a fun way to get the underclassmen involved while giving the upperclassmen a break in a productive way.

“It’s Competition Tuesday, baby! We’re rollin,” Orgeron said this morning on ESPN 104.3 Baton Rouge. “Competition Tuesday, Turnover Wednesday, we’re gonna rock ‘n roll, and then Thursday we’re gonna let the guys have a Tiger Bowl, the young guys will scrimmage. We split up the players, everybody’s got a role — head coach, water boy, whatever it takes — we’re going to go out there and see if they can coach.”

LSU is off this week but will need every bit of the extra time to prepare for its Week 10 battle with No. 1 Alabama in front of a Death Valley home crowd.
