More news is emerging in the situation involving LSU wide receiver Koy Moore and his encounter with the police.

Per Sports Illustrated’s Ross Dellenger, Moore’s attorney said he was joined by Alabama wide receiver Traeshon Holden, as both were on their bye weeks at the time of the incident.

Baton Rouge Police approached Moore and Holden while looking into a report of a rooftop party around 1:45 a.m. on Sunday with about 200 people and loud music.

Moore tweeted on Sunday that the police drew their weapons on him, accused him of carrying a gun, and then tried to unzip his pants.

Moore didn’t mention Holden in his tweet. Ryan Thompson is one of Moore’s attorneys. Thompson said the two athletes are close friends dating back to their days of playing travel football. Thompson said that Moore and Holden weren’t at the party and were instead playing videos games at Moore’s apartment in the same complex.

“These kids did nothing wrong,” Thompson said. “To see Black student-athletes treated in this manner was very concerning to me as a Black man and as a parent.”

Thompson is in discussions about legally representing Holden as well.

The three officers involved in the incident have been placed on administrative leave while the internal affairs investigation is ongoing.
