Neil Farrell, a veteran of the LSU defensive line, has announced that he will opt out of the Texas Bowl and prepare for the 2022 NFL Draft.

“I Preciate all the love and support, I will not be playing in the bowl game, I’ve decided it’s best that I start my pre-draft process!!,” Farrell said via Twitter on Monday. “Much love to this University And Relationships I’ve built. Forever LSU.”

Farrell arrived at LSU as a member of the 2017 recruiting class, and stayed for an additional year because of the pandemic eligibility allowance by the NCAA

He played in all 12 games this season, and made 45 total tackles and 9.5 tackles for a loss, with 2 sacks.
