If you enjoyed ESPN’s 30 for 30 “No Kin to Me” short film, you are in luck, as the network recently announced the short will be extended into a full-length feature film.

ESPN announced the news on Thursday that they plan to turn the 30 for 30 short into an SEC Storied program. The full-length product is set to debutย Monday, March 18 at 10 p.m. ET on SEC Network.

The story follows former LSU star Rudy Macklin after his infamous comments after the 1981 NCAA Menโ€™s Basketball Tournament Consolation game. Here is a synopsis of the film provided by ESPN:

Rudy Macklinโ€™s jersey is hanging from the rafters at LSUโ€™s Pete Maravich Assembly Center, and for good reason: Macklin is the schoolโ€™s all-time leading rebounder and second-leading scorer. Macklin led the Tigers to the 1981 Final Four in Philadelphia, where an injured finger hampered him in a semifinal loss to Indiana. Back then, the NCAA Tournament included a third-place game, and thatโ€™s where the trouble started for Macklin. Just before the consolation game against Virginia, President Ronald Reagan was shot, and after the loss, Macklin was asked if the news might have affected the team. His widely-reported responseโ€”โ€Heโ€™s no kin of mineโ€โ€”was so blown out of proportion that he feared for his life. Inย โ€œNo Kin to Me,โ€ย Macklin talks about the fight to restore his honor.
