LSU is no stranger to hurricanes, and there is potential for another one to impact a high-profile LSU game.

LSU is set to square off against BYU in the AdvoCare Texas Kickoff on Sep. 2, but the weather could make travel conditions difficult for the game. Somewhat similar to a game originally scheduled last October…

Tropical storm Harvey is currently in the Gulf of Mexico but is expected to make landfall late Friday or early Saturday off the coast of Texas. Harvey is currently just a tropical storm, but meteorologist Reed Timmer tweeted that it could build to a hurricane before reaching land.

Projected landfall is still a week ahead of LSU’s opening game of the season, but there is potential for the storm to stall and hover over the region once it arrives.

Hopefully, things will clear out quickly with little impact so that the game can commence as expected.
