If the heat hadn’t been already turned up on LSU because of their loss to UCLA, SEC Network host Paul Finebaum added more fuel to the fire with his criticism of not only Ed Orgeron but one of LSU’s top players, Derek Stingley Jr..

During an episode of “The Paul Finebaum Show” on the SEC Network this week, Finebaum said pressure is mounting on Coach O on the Bayou (via 247Sports):

“LSU, what happened? I thought somebody was telling us Friday that they were going to knock Alabama off, or at least contend,” Finebaum said. “Ed O opened his yap and, suddenly, pressure is building on the Bayou.”

Finebaum didn’t stop there, although he didn’t mention him by his name, the popular host also called out Stingley.

“I think every LSU fan who’s a legitimate fan knows who the best player on that team is,” he said. “And just watch the end of the game and see what kind of effort he was giving.”

According to NFL experts like ESPN’s Mel Kiper Jr., Stingley is supposed to be a top-5 draft choice next year, but his play Saturday may have put that in doubt.
