Paul Finebaum is in Lexington ahead of Kentucky’s Week 6 game against LSU at Kroger Field. “SEC Nation” will be broadcasting there on Saturday, and, as is customary, Finebaum broadcasts his radio and television show from the site the day prior.

Wildcats fans are flying high after a 5-0 start, and they’ll hope that Saturday ends with yet another win to improve to 6-0 for the first time over 70 years. But Tigers fans have descended upon Lexington as well and will be sure to make their own voices heard — literally.

That’s what happened during Friday’s “Paul Finebaum Show” as Finebaum was interviewing Tom Hart, who will call the game with Jordan Rodgers on the SEC Network on Saturday evening. With a rowdy LSU fan behind the set, Finebaum finally had enough.

“Bo Nix says thank you,” he replied.

LSU hasn’t had much to shout about lately, especially following a loss to Auburn that saw them blow a 19-10 4th-quarter lead. And a loss to the Wildcats on Friday will equal even more grumblings among the fanbase about the status of Ed Orgeron, whose teams have underwhelmed since the program’s 15-0 national championship season in 2019 led by Joe Burrow.

“That guy may have been on my flight (Thursday) afternoon,” Hart joked.
