The LSU Tigers can win the SEC title outright on Saturday night if they beat Vanderbilt in Baton Rouge. The Commodores are 0-17 in SEC play, so it should be an easy win.

However, coach Will Wade has been suspended for the game due to his involvement in an FBI investigation which has him allegedly discussing a deal made to bring freshman G Javonte Smart to LSU. Smart will also be held out of the game as a precaution.

Now, the news gets even worse for the Tigers. Per a report on Saturday evening, freshman F Naz Reid will not play either, due to injuries sustained in LSU’s last game:

Fortunately for LSU, it seems Reid’s absence isn’t tied to the FBI case, but it’ll still be hard for the Tigers to overcome, even against a struggling squad like Vandy.

Reid is averaging 13.3 points and 6.9 rebounds per game while appearing in all 30 games and making 28 starts.
