Former LSU DB Rashard Robinson suspended for 4 games by NFL
Former LSU Tiger Rashard Robinson is on his second team in his young NFL career, which is entering its third year.
After playing for the San Francisco 49ers in 2016, he was moved to the New York Jets midway through the 2017 season.
Now, as he prepares for his first full year with New York, he’s facing a significant setback, as NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports that Robinson will be suspended the first four games of the season:
#Jets CB Rashard Robinson has been suspended without pay for the first four games of the 2018 regular season for violating the NFL Policy and Program for Substances of Abuse.
— Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) July 25, 2018
The suspension comes from a violation of the league’s substance-abuse policy, so Robinson will be on thin ice when he returns.
In two seasons, he’s recorded 46 tackles, 15 pass breakups and two interceptions.
