Kendall McCallum’s LSU career appears to be over after two games.

According to Matt Zenitz of AL.com, McCallum, a freshman linebacker for the Tigers, has entered the NCAA transfer portal. Coaches from other schools are now allowed to contact McCallum about potentially transferring to their school.

McCallum appeared in LSU’s first two games against Georgia Southern and Northwestern State. However, he didn’t record any stats.

McCallum was a 3-star recruit out of Oxford, Ala., and he was the No. 27 inside linebacker in the 2019 class per the 247sports Composite rankings. He was also the No. 19 recruit from Alabama in the class.

LSU wasn’t the only SEC school to send McCallum an offer during the recruiting process. He chose the Tigers over Missouri and Ole Miss, along with offers from schools from several other conferences.

McCallum, who is 6-foot-5, 225 pounds, will now begin looking for other schools to continue his college career. The linebacker has potential and a lot of remaining eligibility, so there will surely be plenty of schools interested in adding him.
