Report: LSU losing top defensive analyst to on-field job at Nevada
The LSU Tigers have experienced quite a bit of staff turnover after winning the national title earlier this month, and that continued on Tuesday.
This time, the Tigers reportedly lost a top defensive analyst from their support staff.
Per a report from Shea Dixon of 247Sports, Ronnie Wheat — one of Dave Aranda’s top analysts last year — will be taking an on-field job coaching safeties at Nevada. Aranda, of course, has already left the LSU program to become the head coach at Baylor.
Jay Norvell is the head coach at Nevada, and that’s who Wheat will now be working under. We’ll see if LSU makes a hire to replace Wheat on the analyst staff.

It's the Mississippi native's first on-field FBS coaching job after being on staff with the Tigers since the 2013 season.https://t.co/8UzpmnZZ5J pic.twitter.com/kfXfxO1qXc
