Report: LSU tight end enters name in NCAA transfer portal
We’re only at Wednesday, but the LSU Tigers have already had three players enter their names in the NCAA transfer portal.
First, it was former 3-star LB/TE Dantrieze Scott. Then, it was former 4-star WR/DB Mannie Netherly.
On Wednesday, redshirt freshman TE Zach Sheffer became the latest Tiger in the transfer portal, per a report from Matt Zenitz of AL.com:
LSU redshirt freshman tight end Zach Sheffer has entered the NCAA transfer portal, per source.
Third LSU player to enter the portal this week. Fifth since Feb. 13.

That makes five Tigers to enter the portal this offseason, so we’ll see if all of them leave Baton Rouge or if some decide to stay.
Sheffer was a 3-star tight end out of Florida. He redshirted in 2018, but apparently thought there wasn’t enough playing time to go around at LSU heading into 2019.
