Report: LSU trying a returning offensive lineman at center

Rising LSU senior OL Andy Dodd was supposed to take over the center position for outgoing star Ethan Pocic in 2017, but that all changed on Wednesday when Dodd announced he was going to pursue graduate transfer options.
Now, according to NOLA.com, the Tigers are scrambling for options and will reportedly give rising junior OG Will Clapp a chance to fill the position.
Clapp is rehabbing a right shoulder injury currently, but NOLA.com says he’s been practicing his snaps with his left hand.
Whether or not Clapp keeps the job through the spring and into the 2017 season remains to be seen, but the center spot is definitely something coach Ed Orgeron and his staff need to monitor throughout spring camp.
