LSU passing game coordinator Joe Brady is in his first year with the Tigers, but it has been one for the ages.

He won the Broyles Award as the nation’s top assistant, and his LSU squad is currently 14-0 and will play Clemson for a national championship on Jan. 13.

However, when Brady was getting ready to leave the New Orleans Saints this past offseason, coach Sean Payton thought Brady would regret it. He joked this week that he clearly doesn’t know anything, as Brady did a great job in 2019 (via 247Sports):

“The last thing I told (LSU passing game coordinator Joe Brady) was that he was making a mistake,” Payton laughed as he delivered the message to reporters on Friday. “So much for what I know.”

Now, Brady is set to make a lot of money in 2020. Will it be at LSU or elsewhere? We should find out after the title game.
