While it turns out there is a chance Will Wade may return to Baton Rouge after all, the same can’t be said for LSU guard Tremont Waters.

Why is that? The LSU program announced on Thursday evening that Waters is leaving the program to declare early for the 2019 NBA Draft and will hire an agent following his outstanding sophomore season. Waters’ statement on his decision can be read below.

The sophomore from Connecticut averaged over 15 points per game, 5.8 assists and 2.8 rebounds for the Tigers. His numbers are similar to what he did as a freshman for the Tigers when he averaged over 15 points per game, six assists per game and 3.4 rebounds.

Waters signed with LSU after being ranked as a four-star prospect and one of the 10 best point guards in the 2017 recruiting class.
