Urban Meyer is predicting his former backup QB will face his old team in the College Football Playoff national championship game.

“I’m saying Ohio State vs. LSU in the national championship game. I think Ohio State has the most talented roster,” the former OSU coach said Saturday on FS1.

Even though Meyer isn’t picking Clemson to repeat as national champs, he was very complimentary of the Tigers saying, they “will be the fastest, most athletic team [the Buckeyes have] faced all year.”

“I’ve watched film and actually watched film with some of the coaches, they’re very impressive – especially the offensive skill of Clemson,” Meyer continued. “I think this will be a very good game, but I pick Ohio State. And I’m going LSU, I think LSU is just too much for Oklahoma – especially with the suspensions.”

Meyer’s FOX colleagues Joel Klatt and Matt Leinart joined him in picking LSU to beat Oklahoma. As Meyer referenced, the Sooners will be without Rhamondre Stevenson, Ronnie Perkins and Trejan Bridges due to suspensions. Perkins leads the Oklahoma defense in sacks with 6. Stevenson has rushed for 515 yards and 6 touchdowns. Bridges has played mostly on special teams.
