Rivalries run deep in the SEC. So when former LSU running back Derrius Guice had an Alabama fan ask him for some change at a gas station, Guice initially turned him down.

But Guice was only kidding. While the running back didn’t give the fan, who was wearing a Crimson Tide jacket, the change he asked for, Guice did one better, handing him a $100 bill.

Of course, some trash talk came with “The Benjamin Franklin.”

“Get a new jacket.”

This is why we love sports. What a great gesture from the 21-year-old. And his trash talk wasn’t mean spirited but rather completely light-hearted.

Guice went in the second round of the 2018 NFL Draft to the Washington Redskins, but he isn’t playing because he tore an ACL in early August. At the time of his injury, Guice was expected to be a starter.

While the man who needed change at the gas station may be an Alabama fan, it’s a pretty safe bet he’ll be rooting for Guice to return fully healthy in 2019.
