WATCH: Former LSU star Arden Key sends offensive lineman through spin cycle
It didn’t take long for Arden Key to make a splash in the NFL.
The former LSU star and current Oakland Raider, who was drafted in the third round, 87th overall, drew fist-pumping celebrations from teammates after he went one-on-one with Brandon Parker. Key left Parker standing still as he made his way into the backfield for a would-be sack. Parker is also a third-round pick, and out of North Carolina A&T.
Key has had a solid start to the preseason as the Raiders Wire of USATODAY reported he pulled a similar move on first-round pick Kolton Miller earlier this week.
Key, a one-time first-round projection, could have a bit of a chip on his shoulder as he slipped down in the draft because of off-the-field troubles related to recovery from shoulder surgery, among other reasons.
#Raiders Arden Key (@ardenkey) goes chop/spin vs Brandon Parker. Sets it up with a stutter step. Clean win! #TrainingCamp
