Bryce Chance adds to strong opener with Mississippi State’s first HR of 2023

Bryce Chance got the start at designated hitter for Mississippi State in the season opener against VMI. So far, Chance has cashed in on that opportunity.
In the bottom of the 6th inning with a runner on first, Chance got a pitch out over the plate that he was able to square up. He delivered an impressive shot to the opposite field, clearing the right-center field wall for his first home run of the season.
It goes down as the first home run of the 2023 season for the Bulldogs:

With that game now in the top of the 8th, Chance has produced a 3-for-5 evening with 3 RBI, 2 runs scored, a double and a home run. Mississippi State is also in charge of the action, leading 11-2 late in the game.
