Five-star defensive end picks Mississippi State over Ole Miss and Alabama

Mississippi State picked up a five-star recruit early Wednesday afternoon.
Jeffery Simmons, a defensive end from Macon, Miss., announced he chose Mississippi State over Ole Miss and Alabama.
The 6-foot-3.5, 277-pound Simmons made 34 sacks the past two seasons at Noxubee County High.
Ole Miss had been considered the favorite by 247 Sports to sign Simmons.
