Jaden Crumedy has been part of the Mississippi State football program for 4 seasons. A holdover from prior to Mike Leach’s arrival, the Hattiesburg, Miss. product only played in 4 games in 2022 while recovering from a preseason injury, making 11 tackles and 3.5 TFLs.

Facing a decision to declare for the NFL Draft or return for a 5th season in Starkville, Crumedy chose the latter option. He announced on Twitter on Wednesday evening that he would remain with the Bulldogs in 2023:

The former 4-star recruit made an immediate impact as a freshman in 2019 as he totaled 18 tackles and 2.0 TFLs in 2019. In 2020, he registered 32 stops, 3.5 TFLs, and 2.0 sacks. He added 23 tackles and 2.0 stops for a loss to his total in 2022.

For his career, Crumedy has made 84 tackles, 11.0 tackles for a loss, and 5.0 sacks. He’ll be a key part of the defensive front once more in 2023 as he should be fully recovered from the injury that kept him out for 3-quarters of the season.
