Jeff Lebby showed up to Starkville in style as a parade of Mississippi State fans were waiting for him.

Lebby held the position of offensive coordinator at Oklahoma before being announced as the next head coach of the Bulldogs on Sunday.

The environment for Lebby’s arrival at Mississippi State was wild. First-year Athletic Director Zac Selmon was carried into the venue on the shoulders of supporters.

It’s safe to say that Mississippi State fans definitely approve of Selmon’s first hire.

Lebby will be taking over after Zach Arnett’s firing. Arnett led the Bulldogs to a 4-6 record before getting fired after losing to Texas A&M 51-10. Assistant coach Greg Knox took over the coaching duties until the end of the regular season. Lebby’s Sooners led the Big 12 with 502.4 total yards per game.
