Jeff Lebby: Fans call for Mississippi State head coach to be fired during blowout vs. Toledo
By Mark Kern

Jeff Lebby is currently in his first year as the coach at Mississippi State, but things are off to a rocky start and they got worse on Saturday night.
After losing to Arizona State last weekend, the Bulldogs were looking to get back on the winning track. However, things went from bad to worse as Mississippi State was blown out at home by Toledo.
Even though it is very early in the Lebby era in Starkville, fans and the media are already letting their opinions be known on social media.
It’s very early but my take that Jeff Lebby is the worst FBS hire since Charlie Weis is looking pretty spot on.

To pay Toledo to come to Starkville, pay Jeff Lebby, and get embarrassed like this is a REALLY bad look for Mississippi State

From what we've seen in 3 games, Jeff Lebby is a bad coach.
Obviously that can change, but this is his entire resume because we took a gamble on a guy who has never ran a football program before.

I’m typically against putting first year head coaches on the hot seat list but Jeff Lebby is trying his hardest to make an exception

Down 35-3 to Toledo and the announcer just said “you get the feeling Mississippi State needs a touchdown here.”

Never forget when Mississippi State folks gave the entire #SECU staff for picking 4-8 in year one of the Jeff Lebby era.
Four wins is REACHING at this point. pic.twitter.com/9Agry3VmvM

There's a reason Oklahoma fans rejoiced when Jeff Lebby took the MSU job. https://t.co/mQAFAaRTwR

Before he took the job, Lebby had been the OC/QB coach in Oklahoma the last 2 seasons while being the OC/QB coach at Ole Miss the previous 2 years.
While it is only 3 games into his career as the coach, the loss could be a sign of bad things to come as the schedule only gets tougher. After a home game against another struggling team in Florida, the next two games are on the road at Texas and Georgia.
For Lebby, the rumblings are getting louder, and the Bulldogs will be the underdog in every game up to the game against UMass on November 2. Can he turn things around? Or will the calls for him to get fired grow louder in the coming weeks?
