Dak Prescott has yet to receive a long-term extension from the Cowboys and if the Dallas quarterback has a season like the one Daniel Jeremiah imagines he might, the team is likely going to regret failing to reach a deal on a contract.

In anticipation for the start of the upcoming season, the NFL analyst shared his selections for a number of league honors including MVP (Prescott), Defensive Player of the Year (Myles Garrett), Offensive Rookie of the Year (Clyde Edwards-Helaire), Defensive Rookie of the Year (Chase Young) and Coach of the Year (Anthony Lynn).

Prescott’s selection is an interesting one but there’s no doubt the Cowboys signal-caller will likely be motivated to prove his doubters wrong once again heading into a season — and will have a financial reason to do just that heading into the coming NFL season.

Dallas opens the season on Sunday night at the Los Angeles Rams in a game that will be televised nationally by NBC.
