WATCH: Jake Mangum picks up first professional RBI for Brooklyn Cyclones
Former Mississippi State OF Jake Mangum had an outstanding college career, setting the SEC’s all-time hits record.
Now a member of the New York Mets’ organization (along with former Florida QB Tim Tebow, who is at the triple-A level), Mangum continues to do what he does best — collect hits.
On Tuesday night, he followed up his first professional hit (which came on Monday) with his first professional RBI in the top of the sixth inning:

Mangum is off to a hot start for the Brooklyn Cyclones, who are the Mets’ short-season single-A affiliate. He’s a hitting machine, and he’s continued to show that skill at the pro level.
There’s a long way to go before he reaches the big leagues, but Mangum hasn’t missed a beat since leaving Mississippi State.
