Will Rogers is moving on from Mississippi State, but he’s not headed to the NFL Draft.

Matt Zenitz of 247Sports reported that Rogers would enter the transfer portal. One of the most prolific passers in recent SEC history, Rogers is No. 2 in SEC history with 12,315 career passing yards and fourth with 94 career passing TDs.

After the Egg Bowl loss on Thursday, Rogers said, “Would’ve been so easy for us to quit after everything we’ve been through on and off the field. People can say a lot of things about us, but we’re not quitters.”

Fighting back emotions, Rogers reflected on his teammates, especially the seniors, separate from the loss to the Rebels.

Rogers was injured for a good portion of the season, and the Bulldogs dealt with the firing of coach Zach Arnett.

Rogers on Thursday passed for 207 yards and scored on a 1-yard run that gave the Bulldogs (5-7, 1-7) a 7-3 lead with 8:33 left in the third.
