Great news to share regarding former Missouri defensive back Jarrell Harrison as he has just been named the new head football coach at Adams State.

Harrison previously served as the interim head coach had that temporary tag removed from his title at Adams State. Harrison has been on staff at Adams State dating back to 2016.

He replaces former head coach Josh Blankenship, who resigned after going 8-14 after two seasons.

“First off, I would like to thank Interim AD Katelyn Smith and President Dr. Lovell for this amazing opportunity to lead the Adams State Football program into the future,” Harrison said in a released statement. “I appreciate their confidence in me to mentor the wonderful student-athletes in our program and the ones we have recruited to join our campus and community. I want to thank them for their leadership within our institution, and their continued support of Adams State Football.”

Harrison’s college football journey began at City College of San Francisco before he transferred to Missouri for the 2009 and 2010 seasons. During his time in CoMo, Harrison had 116 tackles, three interceptions and a sack for the Tigers.
